American Cancer Society


American Cancer Society (ACS) wanted to create a marketplace of branded items for sale, with the goal of helping friends and family show their support for people with cancer by simultaneously donating to the organization while buying and wearing items that helped spread the word even further. When we began work on the designs, the platform and apparel partners were already in place which meant we had to work within strict parameters and timelines.


Understanding the constraints, we designed a Shopify site around a well-known theme that allowed us to create a custom experience without needing a lot of development. We also saw this as an opportunity to develop a campaign around this support that could live on the site, but also take form in other media like social or advertisements.

We pride ourselves on finding ways to work within budgets and timelines of any size and scale. Because American Cancer Society is a non-profit, their budget for the design and development of this experience wasn’t large, but we found ways to make the most of the design platform we delivered to their team without breaking the bank.

Creative that can Expand

We not only designed a great shopping experience for the American Cancer Society but also something that the ACS team could take and make their own. The collage concept was meant to evoke a feeling of “homegrown” support while highlighting key items for sale, major supporters, and research efforts that sales funds would support.
